P478/c JLC

I've been eyeing this 1940s jaeger it looks really beautiful. The seller says it is 100% original and it sure looks it to my untrained eye. Can you I get your opinion Zaf on its authenticity and whether the dial is original? Thank you!

I really depends on the price. It's a chrome plated case and the dial is scratched. So it's OK, just be mindful of who much you are paying.

thank you Zaf. It was listed fairly high but is now being auctioned.

Yes I noticed the dial is scratched too. I also noticed it doesn't have swiss marking on dial. I inquired and the seller says there is a lot of debate as to why some military or military style watches of this kind have swiss marking or not.

There was a similar 1950s model with a beautiful dial but case was in very bad shape. Not to mention the seller did not verify if it kept good time or not. That sold for ~$400.
