My first post , so I apologise if I've made any errors.

I would appreciate an opinion on be value of the attached watch that I bought for my wife.

The dial has been restored but I like these watches, unique movement, presently undervalued to some degree because of the smallish size.

Whilst I do not doubt you in the slightest. A macro shot of the dial shows appreciable fading and patina. Does this indicate a restore a while ago?

Yes, it would appear to be an older restoration. I would not expect to see "Swiss Made" on a watch of that era, but just "Swiss". The print seems to have bled a little as well, whereas the print on them originally is rather sharp.

It's House insurance time. Is it worth putting this on as a separate item? I cannot find another to compare value with. So, going by equivalent small cocktail Rolex etc, I would guess less than $1000? Maybe £500, about $800 tops?

Maybe $1200-1400. It's still and 18k Duoplan.

.pdf version of the book is tricky as people can just email it around to themselves.

Thanks for that. I'll put $2000 on the insurance as it makes no difference to the premium.

I know what you mean re. the .pdf, silly idea, which is redundant now anyway!
