Hello Everyone

I have a Jaeger Le-Coultre Memovox cal.489 watch from 1950 and I want to know what the original clasp of this watch would be. Would anyone know to inform me? The distance between the lugs is 17mm. I send a photo of the watch.

Thanks.

For 1949-50 it is possible, the original buckle was not signed as the crowns were not signed. If the buckle was signed, it would have had a small triangular JL logo in the middle of the buckle but that probably only started in the mid 1950s.

Hello,

I want to use a bigger (16mm) and signed buckle and I saw this model. It's look like original?

Regards

The "JL" piece is not straight. That is a cause for concern, although it could mean nothing more than it fell off and was re-soldered on.

However, while the buckle may be an original JLC piece, it is highly unlikely that it would be original to that watch. The "JL" logo started to be used in the late 1950's, while that particular model was sold in the early to mid 1950's.

The time periods don't really match up.
