Guys,

I have been asked if I wish to sale my S.S. E163. It made me realize I don't even know the market value of the watch. Any ideas on the worth of these watches ?

Thanks in advance

The dial really hurts it. Maybe $800-1000 as it is assuming it is running. No harm in trying higher, but that's my gut feeling.

Yeah the dial is pretty bad. I was thinking along those line too because of the dial. At this point I think just getting the dial turned around would be what I will do.

Thanks Zaf

Based on its present condition I have decided to have it fully restored.

Will post updated photos when completed.

Happy

Thanksgiving to all

There is young and little known watchmaker in the Richmond va area that is truly gifted. He has done some incredible work. He is a well kept secret. He is also a college student so does work by appointment. He was trained by the best. That's all he wishes me put out for now.

I'm sure the dial is no longer an issue. I think the fact that the dial is original is important to many (me included ).
While this is a watch I plan on keeping I have received offers as low as $2700 and as high as $4200 after having the watch serviced. It also seems that being 37mm and so rare is important to a lot of folks.
Thanks Zaf and guys for all your help. By the way Great book Zaf it is awesome.
