Any clues to the age and value of my gfathers watch?

Age from the late 1930s. Value depends on if it's real Cartier or not, from the looks of it I'd say it isn't. You'd need to post some very detailed AND CLEAR photos of the case and dial to make that determination.

It was owned by my grandfather John Scaramanga who lived in London. It's quite logical to think that he bought it in London.
