JLC Reverso questions

Postby Art » Sun Mar 15, 2015 9:22 pm

Hi, I recently purchased a few Reversos, and I am having difficulty finding history about production dates, etc.

The Night and Day Reverso 240.8.72 is easy because it has a date of 2006 inscribed with Congratulation on the case.

I sent an email to Jaeger Lecoultre to see if they can give me more information.

The main question I have is, how long have they been producing the 270.3.54.

I have found watches online that are 18k white gold with the night and day duo faces (silver on one side and black with the night and day at the top on the other), a couple were in the 90's and a couple in the later 2000's.

Some other 270.3.54 watches had completely different faces.

I have read that there is not an easy way to obtain a date with the case serial number.

The watch is in great condition, however I believe it is quite old.

I have a number of luxury watches, and although I am new to Jaeger Lecoultre, they are definetly my favorite watches!

Any information would be helpful.

Tks.......

On modern pieces, and by modern, I mean after 1985 or so, I will not have much information for you.

So if you're asking about 2006 type watches, the factory will be your only source for archival info like production dates and numbers, etc.

No whether or not they will give to you or answer your inquiry is another matter altogether.

Ok, thank you!

The Jeweler thought that the 270.3.54 was from the 60's, is that possible?

Attached is the automated response from JLC.

No, it's not from the 1960s.
